4WD Adventures

and supporters of Ridgetop 4wd’s
Madigan Line expedition - July 2005 a group of brave adventurers
will be heading to the Simpson Desert making
a west to east crossing following the Madigan Line, the route
originally used by Cecil Madigan in 1939.
The trip will be
starting out from
William Creek and concluding in Birdsville (camp 25)
two weeks later. The Madigan line is rarely used, usually with
less than half a dozen
names in the visitors book at camp 11 each year, and
is a trek of historical significance that, therefore, is rarely
experienced by
4X4 enthusiasts
